A family-run business at the forefront of commercial vehicles

This week's guest blogger is Lucy Murdoch from Cordwallis, a family-owned business who offer a first class service to the commercial vehicle sector. Lucy talks us through their latest offerings as well as preparing for the Show.

Cordwallis is returning to The Royal County of Berkshire Show this year! We shall be attending both days and are very excited for September to come around, without wishing our summer away! We look forward to seeing you all there.

Who are we?

The Cordwallis Group is a family-owned business that was established in 1971 taking on the franchise for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and MAN Truck in 1980. Isuzu Truck franchise was also awarded to us in 2012. We cover the London & Thames Valley areas for all your service, sales and parts needs.

Our main business is in areas of sales, both new and used, servicing, body repairs and parts for commercial vehicles within our franchises.

At Cordwallis we believe that a customer is not an interruption of our work, they are the purpose of it. We are not doing them a favour by serving them, they are doing us a favour by giving us the opportunity to do so. Hence why we have extended opening hours and offer a number of alternative transport options for our customers at an array of times to find the most suitable solution for them.

What’s new with us?

Our most recent venture has been launching a Mobile Service Clinic. We were thrilled to be named as Volkswagen’s Pilot Commercial Dealers for the UK due to our excellent customer service within the Commercial Vehicle Sector. This allows us to offer a solution to fleet managers and companies to help to save money and reduce the downtime of their vehicles. This is offered within a 30 miles radius of each of our branches in Heathrow, Maidenhead and Oxford. If you think this would be of interest to your fleet, please do get in contact with our dedicated bookings advisors on 01628 418475, or email us at mobileserviceclinic@cordwallis.co.uk

What can you expect at our Cordwallis stand?

A lot to feast your eyes on! We will have official Volkswagen merchandise for sale but also other parts and accessories for your vehicles, which may not be as easy to find normally! We will have plenty of brochures and leaflets providing an abundance of information about who we are and what we can do for you. You will also be able to make enquires into booking yourself in to one of our centres for work on your vehicles.

We will have vehicles on the stand of MAN, Isuzu Truck and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles for you to have a look around and sit inside, and interact with the great features of these vehicles yourselves, Although these won’t be available to test drive on the day, you can book in at one of our centres to sit in the driver’s seat and take it for a spin. We will also be bringing along our plush hospitality stand so be sure to stop by.

Will there be any goody bags?

Indeed, there will be as we have been working away to get some great content to put in them. Now don’t be expecting the keys to a brand-new Amarok in there but there will still be some great merchandise inside. There will also be flyers with details of exclusive offers and discounts only for available for the attendees at Berkshire Show.

Who will be at the stand?

There will be salesmen from all of our brands plus staff members from our service department. All of them will be bursting at the seams with knowledge in an array of areas and will be on hand to answer any questions. They are fully equipped with the skills to help you with any of your vehicle’s needs.

What are we doing to prepare for the show?

At Cordwallis it has been one of our busiest years so far. However, this doesn’t take away from our excitement to attend the Berkshire Show again this year. Preparations are slowly coming underway and ensuring we are ready for when September rolls around. We are certifying our staff are up to scratch with their knowledge and able to confidently answer all your questions.
