EDUCATION

Agricultural Challenge for Schools with Special Needs.

Following the successful trialing of our first Agricultural Challenge for Special Schools in Berkshire we now plan to make this an annual event. Three schools attended the Final which was hosted at Ufton Court and brought along activities to be judged on the day selected from a given list which the students had worked on over two terms. All of the work was of an extremely high standard and the judges found it difficult to arrive at a winner but after much deliberation, The Castle School were placed first with Brookfields Special School in second place and Prior’s Court taking third. All three schools are keen to participate again next year and this Challenge has now been opened up to all Special Schools. Contact the Education Officer if you would like your school to be involved

Outdoor Days at the Showground

We have a huge amount of land at the showground and are able to offer schools an outdoor themed day tailored to the needs of the school free of charge. Subjects for days could include colour, senses, team building, orienteering, trees, plants etc. Contact the Education Officer if this is of interest to you to discuss your requirements further.

Please call Jan Murray at the Show office 01635 247111 to arrange a visit. Visits are completely free of charge
