Daylight and temperature are still a problem to most of us. We know it is April, so should be starting to feel more positive and forward thinking, but the year just has not got started. Here in the Show office it is a hive of forward, positive thoughts and delight. Trade stand entries, Craft, Food Fayre, Horticulture Livestock and equine enquiries are pouring in. We do not let a little thing like snow stops us, here at the Show ground and Society. I am sure you will not have failed to notice that it is Farmhouse Breakfast Week. Farm shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs, all, celebrating the best British and local food. Despite the snow our education officer Jan and helpers taking breakfast to schools all over Berkshire. I hope you all have a peaceful Christmas and Happy New Year. 2013 will bring new projects for the education section. Farmhouse breakfast week has our education officer Jan, education chairman Pam and a group of helpers going around schools across Berkshire preparing and discussing all aspects of breakfast food. March sees schools coming to the showground for potato day. More food education and fun based on the potato. The show office is busy getting the booking forms out to tradestands. ..
